Starting To Think About June 2008

We are starting to think about the schedule for June. Commissioning Day at Brooklin Boat Yard will be Thursday, June 5 and we are committed to being in Sippican Harbor on Friday, June 20. The time in between is up for grabs. A Maine cruise followed by a jump across to Cape Cod Bay and the Canal are the obvious and usual plans, but we can have lots of fun talking about which bits of the Maine coast to visit and how much time to allow along the way. And, of course, we have the usual problem of how to get the pickup truck from the boatyard, since it is miles from any form of public transportation.

It is fun to imagine specific plans and to discuss them with friends. But in the end the weather will turn our itinerary into more like a wish list and we will pick based on the forecast and what we see when we look out the companionway over our first cup of coffee each day.
